Visual Basic (VB)

Visual Basic is an event-driven Programming Language. You will be taught to create front-ends for business applications. Applications can also be created with back-end databases. VB's object-oriented approach helps in creating components for distributed computing applications.

This module takes you through Visual Basic Language, Forms / Controls, SQL 7.0, ADO Controls for Database Access, Object Oriented Programming, building components through Visual Basic, MTS / MSMQ (Microsoft Transaction Server / Microsoft Message Queue) and Winsock Controls.

Active Server Pages (ASP)

ASP is a server-side scripting tool used to create dynamic web pages and build powerful e-Commerce applications.

eXtensible Markup Language (XML)

A complementary format to HTML, XML enables you to describe and deliver rich, structured data from any application in a universal format, consistently. This module also covers DTD, DOM, XSL and XOM.

Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) 

WAP is an open, global specification that empowers mobile users with wireless devices to easily access and interact with information and services instantly. Apart from WAP, you will be exposed to WML, WMLScript, WAPGateway, WAP Application Server and WAP Security.

.NET

Microsoft .NET is a framework for advanced new generation software that blends computing and communications in a revolutionary new way, offering every developer the tools they need to transform the Web and every other aspect of the computing experience.

C#

C# is a modern, object-oriented language that enables building a wide range of applications faster for the Microsoft .NET platform. The framework provided allows C# components to become web services that are available across the Internet, from any application running on any platform.

Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP)

SOAP is a protocol that enables a web pages or a website to collect data from another web page or website and present it in the required format. SOAP is an initiative from Microsoft.
