| Duration : | 9+9=18 months |
| Eligibility : | Completion of e-ComWIZ |
1. C++
Trains you in C++, OOPS, MFC
2.
Visual Basic, SQL 7.0 (RDBMS) and COM/DCOM
This module takes you through Visual Basic language,
Forms/Controls,SQL7.0,ADO Controls for
Database Access, Object Oriented Programming, building components through Visual Basic,
MTS/MSMQ (Microsoft Transaction Server/Microsoft Message Queue) and Winsock Controls.
Visual Basic Language: Visual Basic is an event-Driven Programming Language.
You will be taught to create front-ends for Business applications.
Applications can also be
created with back-end databases. VB's object-oriented approach helps in creating components
for distributed computing applications.
SQL Server 7.0: It is a powerful RDBMS from Microsoft. You will learn to access
and manipulate data through constructs, cursors, triggers and stored
procedures. You will also
learn how to use the data-base as a back-end server, employing Visual Basic as the front-end, in
Client-Server and distributed application development environment.
COM through Visual Basic: Component Object Model (COM) is a Microsoft strategy for
distributed computing applications. In the COM architecture, you have a presentation tier
(front-end), Business tier (middle tier) and a Data tier. In COM the business logic insulates the
Presentation and Data tiers, thus providing for flexibility in incorporating business logic for
applications. You will learn about about how to build mCOM components using Visual
Basic. You will
also learn about middle tier components like Microsoft Transaction
Server (MTS) which monitors
the transactions and Microsoft Message Queue (MSMQ) that acts as an asynchronous communication
interface between the client side and the data side in a distributed applications environment.
You will also learn about WinSock, a communication Protocol in Internet.
3. Advanced Java
Teaches
you JavaBeans, Networking, RMI, Servelets, UML, JSP, DOM API, SAX API.
4. Enterprise Java
Teaches you CORBA, IDL, ORB, DII, COM, EJB, J2EE, JNDI, JTS, JTA, Java Mail, Web Logic.
5. Project Work
After completion of all the above modules, you will work on a Project (emulating a real-life application) for one month, integrating the learning experiences in e-Commerce, Java, C++ and Visual Basic.
| On completion of e.ComWIZ and the additional 5 modules, you will be awarded the Advanced Diploma in e-Commerce Technologies & Software Engineering, by the Council of Education and Training of First Computers. |
