Curriculum

1.Web Programming

Provides the necessary foundation for you to be trained as an e-Commerce professional.

Web Foundations :

Teaches you HTML, DHTML, VBScript, JavaScript and FrontPage and Flash to help you create dynamic and animation-rich Web pages.

HTML(Hyper Text Markup Language) : A standard adopted by the World Wide Web Consortiums and supported by all browsers. HTML is a presentation language. Simple HTML tags are used to create static web pages.

DHTML (Dynamic HTML): Helps you create special effects on web pages. DHTML special commands can be used to carry out dynamic modifications like banner ads and run-time created messages.

VBScript : The scripting edition of VB (Visual Basic) is used for providing interaction between users and servers.

JavaScript : A subset of the Java language and the scripting edition of Java (similar to VB Script), Java Script can be embedded in an HTML page.

FrontPage : A WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) design tool from Microsoft with which you can create and edit web pages, extremely fast and with ease.

Flash        : Flash is a tool that is used to create attractive and eye-catching animated graphics for web page development, movies and Computer Based Tutorials (CBT).

2.Programming in Java

This module gives you a thorough exposure to programming in Java. Java enforces a completely object-oriented view of programming. You will be trained to develop multi-threaded application that can run on the web. The application you develop will include database and user interface programming.

Programming Foundations through Java : Exposes you to the use of different programming constructs and decision making statements and gives you a solid programming foundation. This is also your introduction to the Java programming language from Sun Microsystems.

Database Foundations : Trains you to create databases, add records, update data and execute queries in SQL 7.0.

Core Java    : OOPS, Classes & Methods, File I/O, Inheritance, Polymorphism, Interfaces, Exception Handling, Applets, JDBC, Multi-threading, AWT Controls, Swing.

3. Server-side Scripting

Training you extensively in ASP, XML.

ASP (Active Server Pages) :This server-side scripting tolls is used to create dynamic web pages and build powerful e-Commerce applications.

XML (eXtensible Markup Language) : A complementary format to HTML, XML enables you to describe and deliver rich, structured data from any application in a universal format, consistently. Trains you in DTD, DOM, XSL, XOM.

4. e-Commerce / m-Commerce

Teaches you to create m-Commerce sites.

e-Commerce: Fundamentals, Creation of B to B and B to C sites using MS-Site Server, Commerce Edition 3.0 through Computer Based Training (CBT).

m-Commerce: WAP, WML, WMLScript, WAP Gateway, WAP Application Server and WAP Security.
